Velp has extended its wedge wire screens range with 250 micron Johnson screens and OEM V wire filter cylinders for water treatment, desalination and industrial separation. The screens are built on a continuous V shaped wire profile wound over support rods, a construction that gives high open area without sacrificing mechanical strength.
The V profile is the key detail: the aperture widens behind the surface, so particles that enter the slot pass through instead of wedging and blinding the screen. This self-cleaning geometry is why wedge wire outlasts perforated or woven alternatives in continuous filtration duty.

Screen selection depends on formation particle size, flow rate and pressure differential. Velp works from sieve analysis data to recommend slot size and open area, then specifies profile wire and support rod spacing to suit the required collapse strength. For OEM customers, the company manufactures to drawing, including custom end connections and internal flow distributors.
Each cylinder is inspected for slot tolerance with a feeler gauge or optical method, and flow tested where the specification requires it.
Velp, based in Anping, Hebei, has manufactured wire and metal screens since 2000. The company employs 180-190 people and exports 80-90% of production, holding SGS, CE, ISO9002 and BV certification. Its range includes wedge wire screens, filter mesh, perforated metal, expanded metal and fencing.
