Repeatable Welds, Predictable Panels
Velp has tightened production control on its welded wire mesh panels line, aligning weld strength testing and aperture measurement with its ISO9002 quality system. The change targets buyers who order the same panel specification repeatedly and need the second shipment to match the first.
Welded mesh failure in the field almost always traces back to one of three causes: inconsistent weld current, wire diameter drift, or aperture variation between panels. Velp now records these three parameters per production lot and retains samples for traceability.
Panel And Roll Range
- Fence panels - 75 x 75 mm aperture welded panels for fencing, partitions and machine guards.
- SS304 rolls - 16 gauge stainless steel welded mesh rolls for food plants and coastal installations.
- Galvanized panels - hot dip galvanized after welding for outdoor service life.
- PVC coated panels - green, black, grey and custom RAL colors for garden and boundary fencing.

Practical Selection Notes
Galvanized before welding gives a cleaner weld but leaves exposed wire ends; galvanized after welding gives full coverage but slightly rougher threads. For coastal or chemical environments Velp recommends SS304 or SS316. For high-security boundaries, tighter aperture in heavier wire is more effective than thicker wire in wide aperture, because it removes hand and foot holds.
Panels can be supplied flat-packed with pallets designed for forklift access, or bundled vertically to reduce container volume. Velp also offers cut-to-size infill panels for OEM machine guarding, with deburred edges and optional powder coating matched to equipment color. For distributors, Velp also supplies accessory packs - clips, U bolts and post caps - so a single SKU covers the whole installation and reduces the number of suppliers a dealer has to manage.
